The Limassol Aero Club, was established on the 19th of May 1989 having as main activity the promotion of airsport in Limassol town and district.

On May 1996 the Limassol Auto Club has played a leading part in the establishment of the Cyprus Airsport Federation (CAF) where today is the main and only authority of Airsports in Cyprus recognized by the Cyprus Sports Federation (CSF).

Today, after more than 15 years since establishment the Limassol Aero Club numbers around 150 active members with main activities the Aeromodelling and the flying of light aircraft. These activities apart from being very interesting and constructive have promoted Cyprus to the rest of the world since our athletes take part in International events.

MAIN CLUB ACTIVITIES

  • As a member of the Cyprus Airsports Federation the club organizes events which count towards the Cyprus Aviation and Aeromodelling Championships every year.

  • Arranges training for obtaining Private Pilot License (PPL) on light aircraft and parachuting.

  • Arranges various lectures on all aspects of aviation.

  • Promotes the co-operation with other aeroclubs or aviation organisations worldwide.

  • Organising or taking part in Aeromodelling fan flying excipitions and generally promotes aeromodelling.
